2025. Handpainted and rotoscoped animation
A series of “paintings in motion” that give voice to multilingual diaspora communities in Milan. Displayed on mobile phone screens, the hand-painted portraits are accompanied by fragments of interviews in the subjects’ native languages. As voices merge and overlap, the work reflects on the complexity of assimilation and tradition in a hyperconnected world, inviting viewers to consider the fluidity of identity in contemporary life.
